I am a freelance writer and photographer. I just love creating and coming up with new and inovative ideas and sharing them with the world. I started out as a young teenage girl writing and taking photos as a hobbie but once I got more expierience and more knowledge of what I was doing, I decided to try and make a living out of it. I'm new to the freelance world and I'm currently working on building up a portfolio of my work. I am in the process of opening a new website; Creative Tales. I will be offering my services on there very soon. Inspiredology Profile Website

What Moleskine Works For You?

What Moleskine suits you best? If you’re a designer you’re going to need some form of organization. Many designers, especially freelance designers, prefer to write in notebooks to keep track of their day to day lives.  You need to keep on top of your current projects,  jot down ideas on the go and to take notes during meetings with a client. There is an endless list of things you can use your Moleskine notebook for and there’s such a variety of Moleskine notebooks now that you may be confused as to what one you should get and what to do with it.

Web Designers: The ideal Moleskine notebook for you is the Squared  Notebook  – Large so you can draw your designs exactly in proportion with the help of the squares. Although, if you prefer a more free way of drawing your designs then you can also use the Plain Notebook – Large. If you find the notebook is too large and bulky to carry around with you, you can also try out the pocket notebooks. Whichever works best for you is fine.

Web Developers: The perfect notebook to store all your complicated coding is the Squared  Notebook  – Large. This notebook works great for developers because you can neatly fit each letter or symbol of your coding into each box which makes for easy editing when you look back through it.  Again, if you find it too large you can always swap it for the pocket sized notebook.

Graphic Designers: Your perfect match is the Plain Notebook – Large. With graphic designing you will need a place to jot down ideas for new designs as well as drawing the design so the large version of the plain notebook works best for you. I wouldn’t recommend getting the pocket sized one as your notes and designs would get too cluttered.

Writer: If you’re a writer and like everything to be neat, tidy and presentable (like me!) then you will love the Ruled Notebook – Large. However, if you like to let loose when writing and write in different directions across the page, doodle or maybe draw mind maps to help inspiration flow, then the Plain Notebook – Large is for you. If you’re a writer and a writer only then you won’t want to be writing in a pocket sized notebook as everything will get too cramped. It’s best to stick with the large size.

Now that you have the right Moleskine you can go get creating and enjoy designing and writing in your new book.

Ruled notebook, definitely the best choice for me.

Pocket size, with grid lines. When I set up tasks, I can make perfect little boxes by each task to “X” out when the tasks are complete. It makes me feel absurdly good when all the little boxes are full of “X”‘s. I use my Molie for journaling, lists of books I want to read, movies I’d like to see, dreams that I want to discuss with someone, questions I’d like to ask the doctor, lists of my medications, my medical history. I also like that I can slip it in my bag so that I can take it everywhere and make notes at odd moments, such as when I’m having coffee at a cafe with tiny tables, or while I’m waiting for an appointment. I also have a weekly calendar from Moleskine to keep track of appointments, and since I often work on a contract basis, I track where I’m working, the name of the person I’m working for, etc. I also track my bill-paying in my calendar….. It works for me.

I like the kind of Moleskin that doesn’t find spec work acceptable.
