Since the advent of color in any creative work of prints, film, or otherwise, that used only black, white, and gray, gave way to feelings of nostalgia, history, or even retro for onlooking audiences. Two thousand and eleven was quite a year for the tech industry. Quite the year for the software industry. And quite the year for new or baby industries. At the surface we think of apps, tablets, and touchscreens—but at its core, it is beyond that.
