One of my main goals as being a freelance designer is to open a web studio one day. As I work the 9-5 grind, I can only dream of what I could have one day. Searching and following some of the great designers of our day seems to help push me to become that talented and driven.
These web studios showcase not just great websites, but also great portfolios. Some of the clients and projects they work on our today’s most popular web destinations. These web studios help standardize where design should be, and help young designers challenge themselves to be this talented.
I am always searching for new web studios that are diving into the industry. Do you know of any that didn’t make the list?

Brilliant sites dont get me wrong but I was expecting to see some REAL industry leading sites, you know pushing the boundries and pushing design to the edge.
Good none the less but my expectations were higher I think.

I think Fantasy Interactive (f-i.com) deserve to be at the top of this list.

No offense to anyone, but save for OmniTI, clear:left, and Huge, none of these companies have earned the term “industry leading.”
They’re good, no doubt, but not industry leaders.
Thanks for the comments, anyone that doubts these companies, I am open to hear of the companies that do lead this industry.
I really want to know… these are the ones that I have been exposed too…

Thanks for listing me (friskdesign.com) but I have to agree with dudedudeydude: I’m not a market leader, nowhere near that yet! I’m honoured that you think so but I’m still a small scale freelancer — but I do have big plans for the next few years. Watch this space!
