It’s been a long time since I touched on this subject, but if you ask me it’s long overdue. Cool Business Cards is still my biggest post to date… it was the real debut for Inspiredology. I had a few days of 12000+ visitors because of this site, being stumbled, dugg, and etc… So thank you for that… and now I present you with the second edition… its been about 6 months since then so there are many new business cards that have been surfaced. The images all link to my flickr account, if anyone knows the designers of these… please comment and I will try to keep up with linking them to their respected designer. Enjoy!!.. Don’t forget Blogging Idol is well underway and I am still trying to strive to get over 1000 RSS subscribers… so please spread the word of Inspiredology.

I am the designer of the Slim Kiwi business card with the varnished background. Our site is http://www.slimkiwi.com
For those that want to know, it’s two hits of black on the front, with a hit of metallic copper, and two hits of varnish, a dull and a silk. The silk is the darker of the two. I didn’t like the black without any varnish and I needed the two black hits since it is on a bright white stock.
On the back it’s the same. They were expensive to print, but I have a great relationship with the local offset printer I use, they make house calls, run tests, invite me on the line to check quality/color as it runs. Really nice to have that type of printer these days.

Great idea! I wonder if its not too much design here. Business Card szhould have enough size and be as simple as possible. Its cool to watch but is it cool for handle?

@ Matt : The Jack Sparrow card is just an example of work for Mandate Press of flickr. They have ones styled for Frida Kahlo and James Bond, and Ozzy Osbourne too. You might know that though
