  • With the whole Web 2.0 phase populating the web. It seems that another phase of the Web 2.0 family (Web Characters) are supporting websites, logos and brands. I have collected some cool vector characters that fit the web 2.0 look, vector based, gradients, fun loving characters that are always unique, and as they should be. If you are going to use a web character for a web header to support your site, the main reason why you are doing it, is to be different so when creating a character you have to separate yourself from the rest.

I’ve definitely noticed the current trend for cute characters on many websites, including some of the ones you’ve listed above.

Several Make Money Online bloggers seem to like having a cute representation of themselves on their blogs, e.g. John Cow.

See, when integrated properly, the little guys and gals can be really awesome. But if not, they just seem really out of place and, well, odd… like a filler because they had a little too much space on the design.

And honestly, I really love the little fat guy. LOL.

On my portfolio I had a friend draw what I would look like if I was a cartoon character and i got to say that my character has got to be the only asian with a shaved head and wide grin on the internet that good looking.

Nice collection of characters (its missing mines tho), I find that characters can make serious topics a lot more playful and fun. That is why I choose to use mines.
