More and more we see designers creating websites that are typical web 2.0 looking sites. Designers are trying to break the mold everyday, trying to start the next big trend.

As you browse through the endless pit that we call the web, you will come across websites that leave you speechless and then some that just might make your eyes hurt. These website are just great professional websites, they don’t fit under any category; they stand under their own.
Last weeks 43 Decent Dark Websites showcased various websites using black, or any dark colour scheme to design their sites. White websites are slightly different as you will get a nice clean, more welcoming feel and look, so let the battle begin;
Getting into the world of web design and inspiration, you can categorize websites into thousands of different trends, platforms, site elements and the list can go on. Dark websites have always been a popular choice as black is the obvious choice to rebel against all those white websites that crowded the web in the early years.
With the whole Web 2.0 phase populating the web. It seems that another phase of the Web 2.0 family (Web Characters) are supporting websites, logos and brands. I have collected some cool vector characters that fit the web 2.0 look, vector based, gradients, fun loving characters that are always unique, and as they should be.
Websites have come a long way, and designers are always challenged to bring out the next big thing. Wood looking design was once one of those “next big thing” elements. Now designers are using wood textured images to create stunning websites.
