Cartoon Websites and Characters

Inspired in (Web Design) by Andrew on March 2, 2009

There are many websites that are taking a very animated approach to their brand strategy. Some of these sites target younger users, so a cartoon animated style would be expected; however businesses are also using this approach to perhaps soften their corporate image to appear friendlier and more playful to their audience.

This animated style is also used by individuals that are using a cartoon character to represent themselves online to establish a relationship to the reader, so you, the reader, feel better connected to the author of the site.

Regardless of the reason the examples in this set are visually and creatively excellent.

To see more examples of this style check out these 2 posts: Cool Web Characters and More Cool Web Characters.
