Here are 4 textures that I am not sure how to label them, but I really enjoy them. The first one was used a few years ago in college as a background for a website mock-up. I really like the edges in the middle of the image. The second one was a simple scan of a print out that was smudge, the third being chalk on a black piece of paper, the forth being a radial burst I created for a project at my first design job. Enjoy!!

Interesting thing is i wanted to have those Colorful test tubes similar to the header/footer here for a personal site i wanted to make some months back, not being a designer i could not do it with PS.
Though i did a very ugly looking css version of tubes, they were unusable. Not advertising, just showing http://is.gd/2Ejm8 (safe link, a html page on my website)
