  • Retro Design has been a popular style for quite some time now, and the trend will likely continue in the future.
These examples showcase many different ways a design can be “retro”. Some attain this look through design techniques like colour schemes or a dusty/rustic look while others use a classic portyal of a “housewife” or a pin-up girl.

Enjoy these examples of retro design, and as the saying goes “you can’t know where you’re going until you know where you’ve been”, although as this trend continues to be popular, it seems where we are going IS where we have been.

I loved the use of the pin ups in the first three designs. Does anybody know if there are copyright restrictions by using old pin up type artwork in your work (particularly for commercial use)?

Thanks for the heads up! There are so many talented designers out there. I’m working a new design for the website that will look even more retro, should be ready within a week so keep an eye open.

Very nice list of websites, not so seen as the previous ones.
The link to http://www.web-o-matic.co.nz/ is wrong.
      You’ve putted .com.nz instead of .co.nz
Same problem with http://bulletpro.co.uk/ instead of http://bulletpr.co.uk/
My Kudos go to Kitschensink.com, Singularityconcepts.com and Thunderfuel.com.
Germville.com is hillarious and perfectly designed but it’s a different concept.
Take a look at our website and tell us what you think about it.

I really love the retro design trend that you have showcased so brilliantly here.

To do it well is such a difficult task, but very much worth the effort is it fits with the brand experience you are trying to create.

I am impressed by the creativity involved in the list of retro website designs…They are very appealing…Each is unique in its own way; but one thing is predominant in almost all of them the blond curls…Thanks for sharing this post…As an after thought why not post a tutorial on the retro website designing…
