So starting in December 10 I am going to be giving a prize away to one lucky winner! Yes, there will be a total of 12 winners, and you can only win 1 time. If your name is drawn that day then you get that prize… pretty simple eh!

    The Details

To enter you just have to comment about what features you would like to see added to Inspiredology in the new year. So something about the design, functionality of the blog, more authors, different layout, what type of blog posts do you enjoy, which ones don’t you like, what am I missing and etc…..

I will keep the commenting open till December 9th, 2008 5:00pm… so Digg, Float, Stumble the post like crazy.. because everyone enjoys getting gifts at Christmas time.

      Wow! Really cool prizes!

      And as for the entry:
I’d like to see some tutorials on HTML, CSS, eventually some JS or PHP?
Also I’d like to more writers, to increase the frequency of posts so I can read even more of these awesome posts :D

Merry Christmas to be the first :)

    • December 2, 2008 at 10:11 am

I really love the inspiring galleries. I agree that some more tutorials would be fine, and personaly I don´t like wordpress, or blog stuff (plug-ins, templates, etc.), there´s a lot of that on the web if you are looking for it.
Thanks for the web and merry christmas and happy new year.

    • December 2, 2008 at 10:47 am

Would be great to have something like, “what topic compilation do you want?” and the people could answer: “I am doing a music web site and i would like you to post a compilation of beautiful music websites”. Because, IMHO we allways see good compilations like yours or smashingmag but would be nice if people suggest some themes too.

      :D

      ——————————-
P.S: sorry for my bad English.

    • December 2, 2008 at 11:22 am

these prizes are amazing. Anyways as a suggestion I would say you need to get a favicon. That would be the first thing :) As for the rest, I love your inspirational posts. Maybe releasing a couple more freebies to attract new visitors. People love free stuff. Concerning the design it’s everything fine, but the bears in the header. For some reason they don’t really fit in my eyes. I can’t pin down what is bothering me though.

    • December 2, 2008 at 11:42 am

I would like to see a new design of this blog, in the same style, but more elaborate. Also a new writer would be welcomed to have more frequently posts.

      Cheers!

    • December 2, 2008 at 12:13 pm

      Hello Chad,
Your site is part of my favourites ones but…but… :)
the thing that I like to be done here is very simple, and it’s not taking long time…Why don’t you put a “top page” button at the bottom of the body section? I know that some people don’t like it_ maybe it’s your case_ but for myself I think that’s it’s a good way to go to the top when some articles are too long!
Great work man, very good articles.
      Regards

    • December 2, 2008 at 12:56 pm

I love the idea of the 12 days of Christmas! First off, let me say that I read and appreciate all of the posts that are made. I particularly enjoy the posts about “well-designed” websites, posters, CD covers, etc.

If I had one suggestion for improving the site, I’d say that the look of the sidebar could use a revisit. Because it’s so light and looks so similar to the background color, I don’t see it or use it like I should. I’d also love to see more posts, but who wouldn’t?

Thanks for the contest and keep up the great work!

    • December 2, 2008 at 1:06 pm

This is an amazing collection of gifts/prizes.

One thing I would change would be to have your header logo clickable as a link to return home. I am surprised that there are more and more sites that do not do this. If it is important enough to take up that much space, it should have some function other than looking pretty.

    • December 2, 2008 at 2:42 pm

What an excellent idea Chad. The prizes are great and should yield a heap of comments, floats, tweets and suggestions of what people would like to see on the site.

I would like to see more frequent posts, which may mean more authors. As far as post content, some more tutorials would be nice. Specifically, WordPress related topics and how it can be used as a powerful way to manage content. As always any kind of design related content is always exciting to see in the RSS feed. Tutorials, resources, inspiration, related to designing for the web.

Going to tweet, float and dig this bad boy. Cheers and thanks again my friend!

    • December 2, 2008 at 3:41 pm

Giveaways would be nice. You know people always love those!

    • December 2, 2008 at 6:46 pm

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway from Inspiredology.. http://bit.ly/14oRQ Make a comment and win some amazing prizes..

    • December 2, 2008 at 8:16 pm

The advice I have is to update the site more! This will this increase viewers and ad revenue as well as provide incentive to have more bloggers. I personally would like to see more posts about photography.

Thank you very much for the prizes by the way.

    • December 2, 2008 at 9:15 pm

      Great prizes.

I’d like to see a slightly different design, if only so the text lines up with the lines on the notepaper! I’m a little OCD and such things stick out for me :P I love the wood and the pattern at the bottom, but what’s with the polarbears?

      cheers!

    • December 3, 2008 at 6:19 am

      - Content: I love inspirational web design
      - Redesigning inspiredologo’d be refreshing too

    • December 3, 2008 at 6:25 am

      More updates would be great!
Maybe make some weekly post like, inspiration for the weekend every friday. Or the monday cheer up every monday. Stuff like that.

And also more vector freebies (or other freebies).

I think the design is ok, but a new one would always be welcome!

We love the site, and all we want is more off it :)

    • December 3, 2008 at 6:25 am

And offcourse more giveaways like this ;)

    • December 3, 2008 at 7:44 am

An amazing start for this year’s Christmas, I believe.

Gotta admit, I just love the site, never thought what would make it better…(I already love, so if I feel something is missing, I probably wouldn’t love it, now would I?)

But my vote goes for, what I call “Showwwcaaaassseee” (with capital S, number of letters may vary)
I do not always have the time/patience to read through the more sophisticated entries, so I just love scrolling through various works of various artists/designers.

So my vote goes to “Shooowcaaases”.

    • December 3, 2008 at 10:20 am

Thanks everyone for your great feedback, there are some great ideas here and I am going to take them to heart…. and in the new year… you will all see your feedback come to life I hope…

Keep up the comments….Lets digg, stumble, float this post like no other….

Thanks again… and good luck to everyone

    • December 3, 2008 at 11:02 am

Inspiredology could have a design upgrade, to a more “inspirative” theme. By the way, articles are great and categories are clear.

    • December 3, 2008 at 2:02 pm

I think the interviews with designers etc whould be fun!
      :)

    • December 3, 2008 at 4:32 pm

as an aspiring graphic designer i love your blog, whenever i need inspiration i look forward to your posts to guide and assist me(with much credit to the artists as well)

what i would like to see more of . .
      - some video showcase. there are tons of designers out there willing to share their secrets it would be great to have this as not only a graphic showcase but video as well.
      - some focus on different media such as 3d print packaging materials.
      - small business exposure

      Eric.
      p.s greets from T-Bay, Ont.

    • December 3, 2008 at 5:56 pm

I don’t understand the polar bears at the top but love them. I would like to see some free WordPress and HTML templates. I know this blog is about inspiration, but this would be nice.

Also you could do series of posts, e.g., The Best CD Album Covers Vol. 1 out of 3 (instead of one gigantic post–the posts with 50 or so images just make me get bored and go through them really fast).

Love the site either way and keep it up!

    • December 3, 2008 at 7:16 pm

It would be nice to have on the homepage a small section on top with some functionnalities :

      - Latest comments
      - Most commented
      - Most popular

It would be like that :
      [1][2] [3]
      [articles]

      Thanks

    • December 3, 2008 at 8:42 pm

I feature I would like to see on Inspiredology is best collection of web typography.

A lot for they time when you see typography round ups they are posters, mailers or printed material.

Even further, round up of well place HTML typographhy.

      Happy Holidays!

      -TK

    • December 4, 2008 at 4:06 am

You’re doing a good gob, however five posts a month is so few. If there were more post of the same inspiration and high quality, without other’s blogs reposts, I think your blog would be popular in just no time. Thank you.

    • December 4, 2008 at 5:39 am

I would also agree that posting more would a better improvement, maybe you could get more authors? Anyway, good luck to all and thanks for the compilation! See if I can win something too (minus my own prizes :P )

    • December 4, 2008 at 7:36 am

I really like your site, but would like to see an RSS feed from my site on yours. Have a great holiday season.

    • December 4, 2008 at 3:32 pm

It’s a great site, just wish it was updated more. Possibly do a feature artist/designer each month and let them make a few post along with what you do.

    • December 5, 2008 at 6:42 am

wow, great gifts, I also love Christmas!
I would love to see more tutorials about webdesign like: How to design websites with a big background for all resolutions regarding the loading time and size and to see how to design and develop websites outside the borders /columns. Greetings and have a blessed Christmas time!

    • December 5, 2008 at 7:37 am

I would suggest more use of video, audio & particulalry photo plugins on your site. Internet users it has be found stick around longer to a website when any of these functions are found.

    • December 5, 2008 at 1:43 pm

I really like the inspirations on the site… especially colour coded ones such as the article on blue-themed websites.
i think colour or theme based collections are great, and they really do help with what this site is all about – inspiration.

As for other things, I also think tutorials are great, but only if they are really something special – because there are tutorial sites designed for tuts only.
So i guess im trying to say that the site should be simplified to what it is: Inspiration,

Keep up the galleries and collections of posters, artwork, and designs because they’re great work.

    • December 5, 2008 at 8:54 pm

I’d really love to see a new design for Inspiredology.

I’d suggest some art, colour, structures theory applied to webdesing

And finally I think the future of inspiration websites is about telling the future, so, if you ever can create the inspiration… That would be amazing.

      Good work here!

    • December 7, 2008 at 5:21 am

      Great blog, i really like it… :)

first of all it will be better if the logo of the blog will be an home page button.

i’d like to see more cool siteweb’s articles.

      thanks :)

    • December 7, 2008 at 10:52 am

hello. I really like your site. Nice design.

my suggestion is you try to reduce the size of your background. 300kb is too much.

      thank you

    • December 7, 2008 at 1:53 pm

I really love your site, very inspirational. I’d like to see more tutorial posts. I’m not a big fan of the WordPress or blog materials, but all the artwork posted is very inspirational. Keep up the good work
      !

      Merry Christmas!

    • December 7, 2008 at 1:57 pm

You could put last pictures from the flickr group in the left column.

You also could make a new categories speaking of motion design.

PS: Excuse me for my bad english, i’m french.

    • December 7, 2008 at 2:29 pm

Inspiredology is going very well, but something that I would like to see, is a weakly area, where you show some of the work of your readers, like personal websites, photo manipulation, vector draws, and things like that, one post for week dedicated to one or more guys, would be very cool.

Keep going Inspiredology ;) and a merry Christmas to all.

    • December 9, 2008 at 10:47 am

      I would suggest two things:

      1. More frequent posts
      2. HTML/CSS tutorials

Besides those two things, Inspiredology looks perfect. Keep up the good work!

    • December 9, 2008 at 12:07 pm

I would like to see more user generated content

      - maybe gallery of projects inspired by inspiredology content?

    • December 9, 2008 at 1:14 pm

One think I would like to see here are some directions or basic tutorials to achieve some of the effects in the items/products you share with all of us.

    • December 9, 2008 at 3:00 pm

Maybe a section where readers can upload their art, and get review. A simple flickr group would work for that.

Awesome job though, thanks for all you do.

    • December 9, 2008 at 5:04 pm

Great giveaway you’ve managed to come up with, thanks for the time and effort!

I’d love to see some inspiring packaging design posts. Ones that actually saw production – not just come from a world without clients and deadlines :)

    • December 9, 2008 at 7:09 pm

The contest is closed… Shim I will include you in, even though you were 4 minutes past the deadline, it’s Christmas and its a time for giving.

Corey.. there is an inspiredology flickr group.. you can join here.
      http://www.flickr.com/groups/inspiredology/

    • December 9, 2008 at 7:10 pm

      GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE

    • December 9, 2008 at 8:59 pm

I would love to see more tutorials in illustrator. Your content is always great, but I think designers would really benefit from basic Illustrator and Photoshop tutorials.

      Thanks!
      -michelle

    • December 9, 2008 at 9:01 pm

I know I completely missed the deadline, but I wanted to say what I’d like to see anyway.

It would be great if, in the coming year, there was more about how to slice up the great designs and get the markup/scripts implemented that make the designs work.

    • December 10, 2008 at 2:10 am

      Awesome thanks, good to know.

    • December 11, 2008 at 4:16 pm

The design of the site is simple and sound. Few tweaks here and there sure.

An amazing addition, would be a section for content generated by users through the inspiration of this site. From that i would suggest also that under each inspiration have the possibility to add links to additional inspirations that contributed to that artwork. Sorry about my english.

    • December 13, 2008 at 6:06 am

I wasn’t sure about time zone difference, I thought I still had an hour more.

      Thanks Chad! ^^

    • December 14, 2008 at 10:04 am

I actually find your layour very easy to navigate and clean but maybe some small images to add a bit of additional flair to the header topics in each section.

Seasons Greeting to You of course and all of your readers.

Happy Xmas & Happy New 2009 to All….

    • December 15, 2008 at 11:26 pm

I have been visiting the site for quite some time. Can’t think of a feature I would like to see. This is a great blog and resource.

    • December 20, 2008 at 9:05 pm

What I’d like to see is some more features on clothing, especially on those terrific tees with artistic motifes.

      Keep up the great work!

    • December 24, 2008 at 11:13 am

I love to find a website that inspires me – then hopefully I can inspire others. I design for a relatively small newspaper. Generally, clean and simple does it – but it always depends on getting a “good print job” on each paper.
It is always a challenge to design well made ads that will still look good in the paper. The same ads go onto our website – Try translating that!! So any ideas, comments, suggestions – I’m up for them. How else do other people follow the challenge that their job offers??? THX

    • December 4, 2009 at 8:04 pm

i would like to see more sweepstakes .

    • December 7, 2009 at 10:00 am

      thats fantastic…

I want to win the plus membership

    • December 7, 2009 at 10:01 am

      oops I didn’t notify the year… :(

      its 2008 :’(
