#1 Top 5 “Top 5″ Lists

All this week, we are bringing you all 5 winners from the recent High Five Contest. Starting with number 1 today, and ending with number 5 on Friday. As some of you know we received a great deal of entries, and it was a hard fought battle, but these 5 entries stood out the most.

Wow, first place on that Inspiredology contest. I would’ve never guessed it. (I’ve never won anything aside from some Entrecard credits my whole life.) Let me just take this opportunity to give a big thanks to Chad and Andrew. I really appreciate it guys! Now then, let’s get on with the list I put together for the competition.

Top 5 “Top 5″ Lists

I knew once this contest started that everyone was going to go straight for things like “best logos”, “best tutorials”, best design sites”, etc… I wanted to be different. I wanted a top 5 list that would be memorable yet still helpful to the Inspiredology community, and this is was I came up with. I think it worked out pretty well, don’t you?

#1 – Paris Hilton’s Top 5 Tips for Freelancer’s

FreelanceSwitch

The title alone would make anyone want to click and see what’s up, that’s how this list caught my eye.

#2 – Top 5 Alternatives to Photoshop for Mac Users

PSDTUTS

Being and avid PC user myself, I forced myself to throw this link onto my top 5 list because, sadly, the fact of the matter is, alot of designers use Macs. :(

#3 – Top 5 Coolest 404 Error Pages

Brain Pickings

I love 404 error pages. Well, not if I’m looking for something, I like them when I’m deliberately looking for them to see the real creativity from the designer behind it.

#4 – Top 5 Firefox Extensions for Web Designers

Top 5

I figure most designers are Firefox users, and since most of the readers of Inspiredology are designers in some way, shape, or form, I figure this’d be perfect for a crowd like this.

#5 – Top 5 WordPress Navigation Menu Tutorials

WpHacks

I personally have been working with WordPress themes myself for quite a while and I love WPHacks.com. This is one of their better posts explaining how to style different types of navigation menus.
